12:00pm LOGISTICS Luncheon and Networking Keynote address by Ms. Sandra Lee, Permanent Secretary for Economic Development, Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
1:30pm Adjourn

Hong Kong is the leading port of international trade for Southern California and is the logistics heart of Asia. To boost its logistics capabilities further, Hong Kong has an ambitious programme to build more transport connections with Mainland China, launch an e-infrastructure to enhance information connectivity, and enhance support for R&D in IT-enabled logistics solutions. At the same time, Southern California is going through tremendous change and development driven by Pacific Rim trade. A logistics mission from Hong Kong including key members of the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, led by the Honorable Ms. Sandra Lee, will be visiting Southern California to meet with logistics professionals to exchange information, establish relationships and promote opportunities of mutual interest.

US/Mexico Logistics Seminar
Moving products from a U.S. or Canadian point of origin to a U.S./ Mexican border gateway may be easy, however; getting the goods across the border to their final destination can often be another matter. Today, the key to shipping into or out of Mexico is developing a relationship with a licensed and bonded international transportation broker who has both the U.S. and Mexican carrier expertise to move shipments efficiently and economically between the consignor (buyer) and a consignee (seller) anywhere in Mexico. This one-day program will highlight how freight moves from the consigner to the consignee of the products into or from any city within the Republic of Mexico.
