Maquiladora Tour June 22nd, 2005 |
Get a first-hand look at what it is like to have products manufactured and/or assembled in Mexico by visiting one of Tijuana's industrial parks and Maquiladora plant facility. We will be touring Greatbatch, a world leader in the development, design, and manufacturer of critical components for implantable medical devices (www.greatbatch.com). Presentations from attorney’s, accountants, customs brokers (US and Mexican), and plant executives.
Transportation across the border and within Mexico, presentations, Maquiladora visa permit, and lunch is included.

Trade Mission to China and Hong Kong |

Moreover, California companies cannot ignore the emerging opportunities to supply complementary design, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and marketing services in China.
The California Centers for International Trade (CITD) with support from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and APGEI, Guangzhou, China have created an efficient 9 day trade mission designed for American small and medium sized companies who are looking to access the Chinese market for outsourcing, as well as import and export.
• Business Matchmaking with qualified importers and exporters in China and Hong Kong
• Sourcing- Attendance at the Spring Canton Fair, Phase 2- The world’s largest marketplace for manufactured goods with more than 9000+ suppliers in one location. Phase 2 product ranges includes: Gifts and Home Products, Hardware, Electronics and Textiles.
• International Trade Support- Pre-Event, On-Site and Post Trip :
a) import/export technical consultation and training
b) assistance with appointment setting in Guangzhou and Hong Kong (local escorts and translation supported)
c) post trip liaison with suppliers; buying agents and identification of trade financing.
