The Center for International Trade Development, California’s premier trade assistance program, is working with a professional translation service to translate your company’s website into one of the nine most widely used languages on the internet– at no cost to you. This opportunity is extended, through State funding, to all California small businesses selling online and in business for at least one year.
More than 70% of the world’s purchasing power is outside of the U.S., yet only 15% of businesses sell online, and as further surprise, 500 million of internet users search in a native language other than English. The CITD is leveling the playing field in offering trade promotion services, specifically, website translations, to assist small and medium-sized exporters compete globally.
Research shows the industries that will most benefit from this service include:
- Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers
- Aircraft Part Wholesalers
- Tourism
- Information Technology – Computer Equipment and Software Companies
- Medical Device and Equipment Manufacturers
Who Should Participate: Export-ready, California companies, in business at least one year.
Details:
- The translation service is offered through Sajan, a superior quality translation and web localization company.
- Translation services include translation of highly technical language and localization of weights and measures to the language/country of choice (time, currency, culture).
- Top languages offered, but not limited to: Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Arabic, French, Russian, and Korean.
